thinking of you(s)

the week before last, a girl at work, megan, lost a close friend. The friend dropped megan off at work and was involved in a horrible car accident on the way home. megan is one of those people who is allergic to everything. so instead of buying megan flowers i made her this flower-esque brooch. i'm thinking of making a whole bunch and calling them 'thinking of you(s)'.

in the process of making a ginormous origami swan mobile. so far, done 32 swans and really liking the way it's looking.

things i've seen lately

cookies

cooking is not one of my talents. strangely though, the only thing i can make remotely well are my custard cream heart cookies...and toast. they make me so happy.

"why can't i grow a chewing gum tree?"

Came across all the old childrens records that my brother and I used to listen to when we still wore kiddy sized shoes and couldn't tie our shoelaces.

Elizabeth and the polka dots

A friend from work, Elizabeth made me a dress. It's delightful and I love it. You can't see the pockets in the picture but they are perfectly placed.
