Started a new tradition this year with my friend, Rabbit. Going to see a movie on New Years day. Watched "the secret in their eyes." wowser! Its a Spanish film set in Argentina and i LOVE films with sub-titles, always tend to get more inlolved. They pull you in without you realising.Its directed by Juan Jose Campanella and is filled with little twists and turns all the way through. It was released in 2009, so its a bit of a shame that we only got to see it at Nouveau now, especially after it won an Oscar for best foreign language film last year. Its a crafty little film with small details popping out everywhere. Underlying themes and subjects quietly move throughout the movie and leave you feeling as though you've been let in on a secret.
